Kym Melzer produced the award nominated 7-part documentary series, The Ripple Effect of PTSD (2016) for her doctoral research. Her written exegesis is entitled, Impact and documentary filmmaking: ethical reflections on a practice based study.
Kym had a successful national sales and marketing background with Healthy Life the leading health and wellness retail group in Australia. In 2014, Kym completed a double degree at Griffith University B/Business (Supply Chain Management & Logistics) and B/Arts (Screen Production). In years 2011, 2013 & 2014 Kym was awarded Griffith Award for Academic Excellence. In 2015, Kym received first-class B/Arts Honours degree (Screen Production) and was awarded a Griffith University doctoral scholarship. She is a sessional Honours Lecturer at Griffith Film School.
Kym is a Company Director at Seeding Time Pictures and recently produced the short children’s drama Cool Fashion Girls (2018).
